We run both. Older Zimmatics are good machines, but seems the newer models have more motor and gear box problems. I replace 3 Zimmatics motors to 1 Valley. Replace 5-6 gearboxes on a Zimmatic to 1 Valley. Pipe on a Valley seems to last 15+ years. Zimmatics need to be replace or underslung at 10-12 years. We have 9 Zimmatics and 11 Valleys. All of our new pivots are Valley, despite the higher cost.
