| I think an automatic charger with voltage regulation would be best. Then it will taper properly. Trouble is, it probably won't start charging on a really dead battery. I have an unregulated 3 amp charger for that situation. I'm not willing to spend the money for a 30 amp charger so my 12 amp ones will have to do my charging jobs.
A battery left sitting discharged is the hardest one to get to take a charge and then I'm not so sure it ever recovers.
