Subject: RE: Glyphosate induced manganese deficiency in soybeans

I have had this very rarely. After application, you get this symptom and, for me, I have it happen every time in one area of one field I service each time it is in beans. RRC has not shown this as far as I have seen even in the same area.

In this one field, we eliminated the problem with Mn foliar with the application. I can't say we've seen a yield response whether we added Mn and eliminated the symptom or didn't and say the symptom but the farmer feels better without the symptom showing up.

Again, in 11 years now with RRSB, I might have seen this in a dozen fields and only one consistently. Soil tests show minimal levels of Mn in this field which is rented and could go to a sand and gravel quarry any year. It seems that the response is showing a visible symptom of an underlying issue that would normally go undetected.
