We have a 1790, used it two seasons. We really like it. There is very little maintence, only a few grease zerks. The ease of operation and ability to plant 230 acres on each fill-up is great. We were happy with the spacing the first season, no problems. This year we put on a set of ESET plates and tubes and we were extremely satisfied. The spacng was great, one less thing to worry about. Just set the vacuum at 15 pounds and drive, we planted seed ranging from 38-56 pounds, at 6 MPH. As far as price, In our area, Deere service and resale, are both pluses. We pulled ours with a JD 8120 MFWD and had no problems.
