Subject: Re: Shrinking exhaust manifold

3185 JCB Fastracs are really good at shrinking manifolds. 5.9 Cummins 1 piece manifold. Some time engineers need to be whacked up side the head. A bit of fuel pump fiddling usually greatly decreases the life of a manifold. Also might want to think about the gear up and throttle back concept. If the engine is lugging along exhaust temps usually climb. If we could get some factory gages like fuel pressure, boost pressure, exhaust temp. maybe we could avoid some problems. Engineers must think we are to stupid to read all those neat little dial thingys huh.
