actually the CARD light just indicates that the display sees the datacard. The REC light is what tells you if you're recording data. Good idea about header height. Also, is your elevator speed always between 250 and 599 RPM? If your shaft speed sensor is failing, it can either fail to pulse each time the shaft spins, or it can pulse twice per revolution (instead of once), which means the display thinks the shaft is spinning too fast, and it won't log data. Whenever you're harvesting, you should have solid REC, CARD, and HEAD lights on your display. (HEAD indicates that your header is below the stop height.)

You said you can't remember the firmware version, but does your monitor record in the YLD or CNH file format? What size datacard are you using? Is it an AFS card?
