| I am no expert, but we are in rolling ground in far SW wisconsin. We put up a RTK system on the leg(115') and use a repeater when more than three miles from Tower. SOme farms are 7 miles away. As long as we park the repeater (in pick up) on a high spot it works great. Planted this spring, fall tillage and fall NH3 with the system. Once in a while we would lose the signal for seconds, but was never a real issue. Not sure what green trees would do however. So if you have a high point (tower) near the middle of your 13 miles and use a mobile repeater I think it would work. Ours is rolling land with elevation changes of 75ft in some fields. From reading the post on this site I think we are pushing the edge of the RTK signal but we are very well pleased after one full year. | |
