Hendricks MN | I do like the ideal of a fixed base. I hope to put one up in the future. Most of my land could be covered with one good high mounting point. For this fall I set two post, one at my home farm and one at my fathers and I was able to cover 95% of my ground. A few of my neighbors are looking at RTK too. So may we will share a couple of towers. The DOT towers might be a possibility for when I do custom work. The mojo base is a all in one unit. I just bolt it to a post and push the on button. Internal batteries last for a good 8 hours. If I was planning a longer day I plug it into a jumper pack. Not a lot of hassle but a fixed tower would be nicer. One nice thing about having a base close I was able to do altitude mapping, hoping to use to plan tile lines. | |
