Earth | Yes, those workarounds would be ok - except in the case where Trimble changed the controller f/w such that it required a special encrypted code that identified the display as being Trimble. Theoretically, any new controller could also be loaded with f/w that inhibited the controller from being "downgraded" to a previous version. You could probably still "brute force" a downgrade, but who would want to go to all that trouble? I think it's very risky for a company to hack a product that they have no control over - my guess is that it will end in frustration & tears for MojoRTK users & Leica. | |
