Guymon, OK
We had spotty rains towards the end of September and the first part of October and farmers that were able to take advantage of them ended up with good dryland stands. The fields planted too late or in ground that had been worked to death have really thin stands, and the wheat is small and underdeveloped. Most of our dryland is well established, but won't last too much longer under these conditions. We're still watering on some of the irrigated. I've heard talk of guys spraying for mites already, but haven't seen anything yet.
