Subject: RE: John Deere 4630

Macon, IL
Good tractor. I had one from 7-8000 hours. Engine had never been touched. Only real non-maintenance work I did on it for 8 years was air conditioner and one shifting fork-which we fixed through cab floor instead of splitting.

Hard starting tractor, switching to two 12v batteries helped a lot. But in winter it was either either or plug it in first. If plugged in it always started fine.

As someone else said 1000pto only.

If it has been treated right cheap reliable horsepower for the money.

Aftermarket steps is money well spent if not already on there.
