SC Nebraska | Own a 2006 1010, went away from it. Main problem I had is with the ride. The Apache rides rough compared to any other sprayer I have been in. IMO this is what causes boom problems, not so much an inherent weakness in the booms. When they changed them (2010 I think?) they supposedly improved the ride. Never driven one of those so I don't know. That being said, I think it depends somewhat on your farming practices. We are all no-till so ground tends to be a little rougher I suppose than conventional till.
If you can demo one I would take that opportunity as well.
