Depending on how thick you plant. In 2013 Pioneer went to 140K units to match most of the industry. Seed size was a bit smaller last year so you could have easily had units that contained 150-160K. If you normally plant 150-160K per acre, it could have easily cost you that much more. It could be variety dependent as well. I think there is around a $7 spread from the newest (most expensive) variety to some of the 2-3 year old varieties.
