The guys that did well in bankruptcy in the 80s shorted the suppliers and paid the landlords. Really a good business move because they kept their land base they are going great guns today. The suppliers many of them family run operations lost all they had worked for. One of our local machine shop operators asked the big farmer when are you going to pay for that welding I did? His reply was never.
