Farming on the Niagra Escarpment we have anywhere from 4" to 6' to the bedrock. The hills are gravel with large stones and the bottoms are about a foot to the gravel. It can rain 2 inches and we ca go out disking in 2 days no problem. The rock crevases are our natural tile. There are some pockets in the rock that take a while to drain.
