Here a few years back, when most all big dairies were using BST there was a shortage of cows. I was selling springer's for $2,100 to 2,400. Now when most all plants don't want milk with BST, there is a glut of cows. They did burn cows up, it was sicking to see them. The over all health of cull cows has went up over the past few years. Which is good for the industry. Beef cattle worth way more than dairy cattle for the last few years.
