We're about 3 hours away from there.........so there will be folks who post much more about it day-in-and-day-out, but that said, it's a very neat area.  Lots to see and do, beautiful scenery, friendly folks, small enough to be able to make associations easily and many will turn into friends.  Easy driving, easy access to Waterloo/Cedar Falls and all that goes along with University of Northern Iowa activities.  Just a lovely area to be in.  We really enjoy day trips in that neck of the woods.
