SW Saskatchewan | Years past there was a huge water reservoir in Niagara Falls,NY where they pumped water at night with cheap power, then used it to generate peak price power a few hrs later. Seems to me that there was a similar project within the TVA system but it failed and caused crisis downstream.
Great concept, I believe the concept needs a scenario just like what you describe-perhaps you could persuade a city to pay you to take some "slightly used" water to "stock your pond" and after that in is ultimately green because you re-cycle and recycle and.....
A lot of work has been done in Montana, Saskatchewan on evaporation control so you have only an engineering problem. No problem, eh? | |
