Agree , mowing only compounds the problem. I know Ive done it too. Had some new rented ground that had been just mowed for years and the sprouts were only getting worse and coming up in clusters. Sprayed with 24-d for ragweed and Remedy for the sprouts at 10 gal. of mix per acre this spring. Got a good kill. Came back late summer and rotary mowed, really looks good.
