Subject: RE: what psi underground pvc pipe

central - east central Minnesota -

cowhater - 12/2/2012 23:37 need to run 6" underground pvc pipe from well to two pivots. What psi rating (wall thickness) are you using and how deep should it be to prevent damage from weight of equipment? Pivot psi will be around 35. These are two smaller pivots only doing half circles so not much gpm is needed. Was thinking of using ips instead of pip.

The norm around here is 80 or 85 psi blue PVC 6 and 8 inch pipe . .. . .
Some guys bury it 2ft and other well below forst . . . . Most all blow out or have drains to empty water out of pipe before winter freeze up.
