Stratton, Ontario, Canada
I bought a Tuff squeeze and my neighbour bought the Hi-Hog complete set-up. No comparison, Tuff is the better chute. The neighbour still likes his old Hi-Qual compared to the Hi-Hog.

One thing to look at, is the self-catch. With Tuff you can regulate the size of the opening (be it calf or cow) with a threaded bolt and a wingnut. With the Hi-Hog, you regulate with a chain, BUT, when you go to swing open to let the animal out, the chain limits your ability to fully open the headgate. Very poor designing. Something you'd see in the 70's, not today. I've got a fair list of negatives for the Hi-Hog chute. Not all their equipment is bad though. They make the best portable loading chute available, and their tub is relatively good too. But the two best chutes on the market are Tuff and Stampede Steel, and for the money, Tuff is the better buy.
