That map shows where there is cerrado , yes, but not all of the cerrado is suitable for corn or soybean production. Large portions of that map have arid and semiarid lands, specifically in Bahia, Piaui and Minas. The vegetation on those areas is cerrado biome, but the rainfall is low and the soil is sand.
