Spent this afternoon with my 13 yr old in the 7140. Sure wish It had a buddy seat. Anyway. Teaching him how to judge distance keep straight ends etc. Are these skills gonna be lost with all the autosteer? Honestly, if he was going to run much, I would throw a light bar in it but he had enough to keepi track of.
I'd much rather drive "the old-fashioned way" than use a lightbar. Trying to coordinate my brain to steer where the arrow/lights tells me is much worse than just driving and letting my experience tell me the width. The only exception would be when you can't see the "mark" of the last tillage pass.
Now, autosteer-- THAT'S a different story-- don't take THAT away from me!
