Subject: RE: FM-750 remote mapping switch

Vauxhall, Alberta, Canada
Hello Marlhauler,

Thank you for your post and addition.

I did some test runs with the unit and one can set the mapping manually, but it has the disadvantage that the operator has to turn it on and off for every pass and not forget it once, otherwise it will be nonsense. The cable must have connections that would allow a on/off switch to connect to so it only turns the mapping on when the unit is seeding. Never mind mapping my seed row fert. or side banded fert.. One has to become a computer wizard.

All inputs are probably controlled by input addresses and one needs to know how this all works.

No fun using older equipment and wanting to do the modern day recording. I build my first acre counter 1973 with an old calculator and a reed switch on the wheel, later they changed the calculators so one could not solder the contacts anymore. Bummer to get old.

Cheers, Joerg
