The CBOT and the end users set the price for ethanol just like they do for corn and soybeans. The farmer can't just pass on the added cost of production and the ethanol plants are the same way. You don't have to feel sorry for them, but if they go out of business because they can't afford corn then we will lose our end users and the price will come down and they won't feel sorry for us either.
