Baldwin City, KS | My operation is based a few miles from where I live. I live outside of the city limits, but right on the edge of a small/medium sized town. The dogs go with me every day to the farm and generally stay in the yard or on the porch when at home.
Izzy was killed on a state highway, but it is a little ways from my house. I was considering an underground fence, but hadn't gotten to it. This was probably bound to happen I suppose. I hadn't mentioned a fence to my son, that I'm aware of. I certainly take full responsiblility for the dog not being restrained. I'm just disappointed to see that my ex is still too immature to simply comfort my son without the extra crap. It is what it is and I will let it be. FWIW, if Steve's line of thinking were ever to ring true, I would expect to find a glut of starving lawyers plugging up the welfare lines. It is only by the grace of God that any of us would not be finding ourselves on some pretty rough roads we might think we would never go down. | |
