I wondered when someone was going to point that out. Also, when you turn 65, then it becomes Medicaire time w/a little supplemental policy. Really not too bad.
But you're right, hospitals provide care regardless of who can pay. When you can't pay, the hospital submits those bills to their State. Now, it may take a year or more for that hospital to get their money back. So, that jacks up the price for everyone due to the wait. Now, if you go to Chicago & go to somewhere like Cook Co hospital, I believe it's totally free, as we perceive it.
Anyway, there's lots of ways to not pay for emergency services. Now, if you need a face lift, that might take a lot of paperwork. |
