| I have no experience with wheat, so no help there. As for no chopper in corn, it would actually be easier with no chopper as with a chopper you have to lower the knife/beater board that is directly behind rotor and also lower the retractible knives in the beater board (kind of a pain in the rump to do). With all that, if you have many bean acres at all, I feel that you really need a chopper to cut up the bean stems, especially if the bean stems are a little on the green/tough side. We had a 1460 with no chopper and then went to a 1680 with a chopper.... big difference. | |
