Shelby, MT | with interest rates so low on both sides of the banking fence we are getting shafted coming and going. The banks can borrow at low interest rates but are loaning out at lower rates too so they are being forced by the Fed Reserve to find their revenue elsewhere and fees are the easiest(laziest) way to get revenue. So we don't get rewarded or paid for depositing the money in the bank and to top it off we get charged... also there isn't the incentive to have alot of money deposited since the fractional reserve banking allows them to lend without needing capital.
sure doesn't make it easy to teach kids to save when they see no incentive. It kind of makes us look like stupid parents. I still think it is important because cash in had is alot easier to piss off than a check or if it is in a bank not at hands reach. | |
