Saskatchewan | Just to be clear. I am not slinging at anyones truck here. I don't have an ecoboost. And I am aware that the government fuel economy numbers are very optimistic. But when one has the option to have a vehicle with a 31% less cost in fuel mileage with far superior torque numbers under 4500rpm; it's kindof a no-brainer.
I mean the ecoboost is not for people that still want a V8 sound... like 16 year-olds. I has less torque than the 6.2l over 4500rpms, (not sure who drives up here). ts not for people who want the "biggest machine".
It's just tempting for people who consider things like the "total-cost-of-owenership". Personally, the numbers i've pencilled out have put the ecoboost at approximately 10cents per KM cheaper to operate than a 6.2l. Doesn't sound like much, but my target use of a truck is 300,000kms. But a $30K savings to me might not be tempting to someone else.
