South East South Dakota/winters Tucson, AZ
I use to small bale 100 A of irrigated alfalfa and 300 to 400 A of small grain straw each year. I had a hoelscher accumulator and 2 forks one for the field loading and one in the yard. I used a JD 348 plastic tie and a JD 346 wire for straw. My biggest suggestion is to either sell it out of the field or be able to store all of it inside. You get the most money out of stored hay.
