Indiana | This will probably show my ignorance but what's the difference between "backgrounding" and "feeding"? I know feeders finish them, which isn't something I would try to do. Does backgrounding just refer to raising them on pasture rather than in a lot?
How would you background without co-mingling cattle? Do you just mean background cattle for my dad/grandpa?
