West Salem, Illinois | Don't do any myself but it stands to reason as commodity prices rise and stay high that more fiborous feed stuffs will be fed (ie corn stalks) that require grinding for the best utilization. Whether that be a large "commercial" style grinder or a slower "on farm" type, is up to the producer and his pocket book.
Now if your asking if ou should buy a grinder and go into buisness I would say that is very dependent on your area, in mine I believe you would starve to death. I can think of only one processor in the area and he doesn't feed cattle but uses his to grind junk hay and straw that he uses to start his composting process. | |
