I figure 1.5 square feet per 100 pounds. 5.5×1.5=8.25 sq feet per calf. 8×24=192. 192÷8.25=23.27. Two trips should be perfect. If hauling just a few miles I have loaded as heavy as 1.1 sq foot per 100 pounds. Takes a hot shot and careful driving. Even then it is not recommended. Especially during summer.
