80% of my acres were hay or Pasture ground in the last 5 years. I notilled all of it with my planter. All the fields are smooth for the most part now. I added some calcitic like and humate which helps quite a bit too. Beans, peas, radish and other plants help loosen up the soil to and make it soft.
