Gleaner M or L would work for your operation. Look for a later M2/L2 or M3/L3 with the longer shoe. 6-30 corn head and anywhere from a 13' to 20' header. Do you have local Gleaner dealer? We have a 87' Gleaner M3 that does 150 corn, 70 wheat and 70 acres of beans a year. Easy on fuel and easy to repair. No need to change gears or pulleys for different crops. No need for filler plates on the cylinder.
no gleaner dealers here... i happen to ba a dealer for A&I so i have been trying to get parts for the neighbors 7720 but some parts are out of stock here. but i looked up the IH 1640 and 1660 and A&I stocks all sorts of parts in stock and a day away, so its looking like a Ih for me unless i can get a low houred 6620. just curious but from what i can tell abuot 3000 hours is when you would basically start rebuilding and replacing parts on combines,,, would that be acurate???? thanks again guys |
