Subject: Re: LIME PROBLEM

Martinsville, Ohio
At ten dollars per ton at source, I consider it the cheapest nutrient we apply! So many tons though and so much distance it quickly adds up to a very healthy investment. The more efficient farmers are set up to do their own here but often too busy to get it done. I am not set up to do that so I end up paying someone a healthy fee to do it for me, then I must monitor what they do. Lots of farmers end up in the same boat since they don't have time to get it done.

We have had another good fall for application and I have seen quite a bit applied but not as much as 2010. Last year was impossible to get lime applied.
