Are you COC, or rotated? What do you use for an Nitrogen source?

You need to match the level of calcium applied to how much hydrogen is being applied if you want to keep your pH stable. Anhydrous ammonia, and ammonium sulfate contain a lot of hydrogen, and in turn require higher frequency, or greater quantities of lime to neutralize. COC obviously accelerates this process when nitrogen is applied every year. In many soils around this area, 2-3 tons/acre will be required every 4 years to MAINTAIN pH. If your buffer pH was very low to begin with, I would advise splitting the application over two years.
