| Hydroponics is straight forward plant feeding with no 'competition'....easy science.
Even a poor soil has 'competition' in the form of a microbial community which also require NPKMicros etc...not so easy science. Further, as temp/moisture/nutrients/etc flucuate so does the size and appetite of the microbes. Some nutrients and moisture are made plant available and some remain in the microbial pool. So outside of the 'test areas' where plant requirements are determined where is the 'validity' across a diverse farming communityfor 'plant feeding'?
IMO....build tilth and high fertility as deep as the pocketbook will allow while being patient in a long term farming program.....i.e. the Warsaw method.
