1080p is clearer than 720p, 1080i is about the same as 720p. 60hz is ok for most people who don't watch much sports or action stuff. 120hz is better for sports and action.
IMO you won't notice much difference in 1080 to 720 until you get to larger screen sizes (larger than 32").
