The better rates are around 3.75-4.5%. and I agree 100% with the posters, at these rates why use your money........ Geez....... As well I don't see things changing much but would be very very weary of 2014. Cash is king, and the joy ride we are on will end sooner than later. Meaning rates and prices, everyone should bank roll as much working cash as possible. I'm going to throw this one out in the wind........... It seems as time passes on many many people "forget" what it was like to get started and build a base. Just from some of the comments it gets a little annoying. This coming from a younger farmer. I don't think I would want to trade places in a sense with any elders, but times are quiet a bit different from 50 years ago. Talking about intrest rates just saw where Deere has anywhere from 0% - 1.9% for 60 months on 50 series and older combines. Now that's hard to beat! Excellent topic!!! By the way, wish things like this would come up more often.
