Subject: Spra coupe 230 Governor

Central Alberta
Question for the Spra coupe experts. I'm replacing the garbage Peugeot (sp?) carb with a weber carb and intake from kirks imports. While I had the intake manifold off, I noticed that the engine cooling fan bearings are done, and so I've decided to convert that setup to an electric cooling fan. So, the belt that drives the fan also runs the governor. Since I don't need to run that fan anymore, what will happen if I just take that belt off completely and not run the governor anymore? All of the throttle linkage is attached to the governor, so I'd leave it there but it just won't have the belt turning it over anymore.

Will there be any issues doing this?
