We plant 30' and do 3 passes around the whole field. I would say always go around the whole field. This gives the sprayer something to follow, even in drilled crop you have an idea by watching the rows. If the rows are worked one side to the other, when you get to the end with the sprayer, it is a pita to keep out of the fence or ditch or make sure you are close enough. We spray 90' so everything works nice and even. Easy to shut off sprayer if you don't have auto shutoff, you just watch the rows. Also works good for combining.
