Have a Stihl 031AV I bought new in 1977. Have upgraded the ignition to electronic. Wouldn't be afraid to put it beside any brand new one of a reasonably equivalent size. Also have an 021 I bought used that will do an amazing amount of cutting for its size. Both have always been a bit slow to start when cold but after you run them for a few minutes they will usually start on the first pull and will idle as long as necessary. Just keep the chain sharp and the bar well oiled and a Stihl will be hard to beat.
