Subject: Re: Variable rate corn planting ???

N/E Iowa
The ground i farm is so different from one end of the field to the other, thats why i found a planter that has the variable rate, so i can adjust on the go.... Maybe i'm wrong by saying that BUT, 75% of my farm ground that i farm has black soil then within a few hundred feet it can change to gravel knolls, or sandy spots. So with the ole planter i would set it at 32,000 population and plant knowing that the bad areas could only handle 22,000 population on a good year.

I would hope it helps me.... But it i can see where it might come back to haunt a guy... (weather pending):(
