NC IA | As illinios steve said, it will be needing shaker bushings and the japenese/chinese shaker shaft bearings replaced. I have never heard of feeder gearbox issues like someone said above, but those years did have lots of rotor gearbox problems. There is an updated, heavier duty rotor gearbox that many but not all have been updated to, and it is very expensive.
Neighbor/customer has 30 ft 1020 on 2377 in heavy drilled beans and it works fine. Just my opinion, but a 2388 with AFX rotor shouldn't pull down even in good beans at 4 mph. Feederhouse/rocktrap/quality of cut should be your limiting factor. If not you have fuel/power issues. | |
