It's time to trade in mixers. This one has worn thin under the augers. Our last two mixers have been knight reels (3042, 3142). Had good luck with them. We feed no dry hay, only a little straw to the dry and springers. Cows are milking better than ever. Is there any reason to switch mixer types? We have demoed vertical mixers and they were ok. We had 4 auger ones before the reel. We are looking at a kuhn/knight commercial, think it is a RC260. Going from 420ft³ to 600ft³.
