I'll toss this in, the intergrated livestock/processors/retailers have fed corn in the 4-5$ area as they have marketing divisions that hedged their needs. The "flap" about high corn prices is bogus, they want cheap grain/more profit. The buisiness models promoted with the previous farm bills was to provide livestock industry cheap grain with the grain producers being "protected by crop insurance".. when the pricing structure fell, massive amounts of capital built the intergration.
