| We had an excellent crop here but it lived off of subsoil moisture as we had 2-3 the normal rainfall last year which turned out good cause we only got 4-5 inches all summer we went into harvest extremely dry and after harvest ground was so dry no fall work was done at all, then in mid october we got 1.75 and fall tillage worked awesome, actually better than 11' cause we had no hard rains to compact the upper soil profile, we also got a little snow/rain amounting to .75 in the last 3 weeks so we are good on top but NO subsoil, took out trees and burried several rock piles this fall and there is basically a foot of moist soil and then 5-6 feet of bone dry dirt and then there is some moisture again so we are going to need a lot of timily rains to grow a good crop next year.
