Subject: Water Medicator question for the hogs or really anything??

Northwest Iowa
I have been using Chemilizer medicators in my nursery rooms and at the finishing buildings. I have 10 set up in the barns and as i have expanded over the years i have kept with the same ones to make it easier for parts and stuff. The last year they have really been a pain to keep going and have let me down too many times. It is the same thing in the pumps. the O-rings wear out on the porcillin cylinder. I use oil on them every time clean them when i am done. Always test them before i use them too. If they are not perfect i put new parts in them. Just rebuilt 2 pumps and in two days they were not working.

It doesnt matter what meds i am using either. I run little giant pumps in the stock solution as well. I have one farn that uses a chlorinator and that is harder on them but the other farms acted up just as much. I have hard water, with high iron just like everyone else in Iowa.

What is everyone else using and are you having trouble.

the newer style Dosatrons seem to look decent.

I would appreciate any or all the feedback i can get. They have cost me alot in many different ways!!

Please help.

thanks
